I grew up with winter asthma and warm weather allergies for as far back as I can remember. Despite years of taking pills for the asthma and other pills for the allergies, and 3 years of allergy shots, my body still reacted in the same way. Medical doctors focused on treating the symptoms, rather than helping my body actually be healthier, and no doctor examined my nervous system to see why my body reacted in the way that it did.
Then, at the age of 16, my family was introduced to chiropractic, initially as a way to help my mothers’ chronic migraine headaches. Her lifelong headaches started to cease after a chiropractic examination discovered and helped her heal irritated nerves in her neck that medical tests and brain scans failed to detect. She later learned that this was a common story in the healing arts.
After feeling so much better with chiropractic spinal care to release pressure to her nerves, she got me to go get checked. The chiropractor found several areas where my nerves were irritated at spinal junctions, even though I had no back pain (also a common story for children and adults, as we later learned.)
The chiropractic doctor promised no cure, but he did promise that by helping my body remove interference to the nerves, which control how the body coordinates EVERTHING, I would function to the best of my God – given ability, the best that I could be. And, that might be a lot different than the function that I had grown accustomed to.
Within 2 months I was mowing the lawn and not sneezing or wheezing, and I remember thinking “the chiropractic doctor said that I would be different, and he was RIGHT!”
Although I never had a desire to be doctor before, a few years later I found myself leaving the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School to attend Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg South Carolina.
Now I’ve been in private practice for over 35 years delivering gentle touch spinal adjustments for individuals and families in West Chester and Reading PA., helping them realize greater healing, wellness and self empowerment.
I currently utilize the advanced protocol of Network Spinal Care, which allows the brain/body to develop recognition and better strategies to release spinal nerve interference for full function, coordination and enjoyment of life.
That background, plus my experience with body type food plans, raw food eating, personal coaching, clarity coaching and relationship coaching will empower you to make healthier choices to improve your health, energy and peace of mind, and to fulfill more of your inborn potential as well.
I am a member of the Association for Network Care, Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania and Berks Chiropractic Society.
I currently reside outside of Reading with my wife Robin and sons Samuel and Jeremy.
